“Oarsome” Hats at Henley
Is there a better event in the English calendar for sporting wonderful outfits and for wearing amazing hats than Henley Royal Regatta? Add in bright sunny weather and a delicious picnic, washed down with Feltmakers’ Champagne donated by the Master, and we have the complete and perfect recipe for a delightful day on the Thames.
Simon and Lucy Wood arranged the Feltmaker tent at Old Blades, situated halfway down the rowing race course (yes, there is competition rowing taking place). Thirty Feltmakers and friends came to our hat festival and enjoyed river trips in the lovely old 1915 rowing boat “Frogge”.
Thanks to the Master for the Champagne and all assistance with the picnic from Victoria, Louisa, Maggie and Lucy.
Simon Wood, Renter Warden
