…is how one customer described our stall at the Guildhall Christmas Market in aid of the Red Cross. “A broader range of hats than any shop could offer”, said another.
We were blessed with enthusiasm from all sides: DIY and heavy lifting as we set up and dismantled, a keen artistic eye to arrange the displays, regular donations from Liverymen, working milliners and associated chums, an outstanding team of salespeople, with our milliners adding that finesse to secure a sale and “behind the scenes” last minute repairs to some much loved head pieces. We worked hard but…
…to conclude: happy customers realising the joy of wearing a hat and how it can become a best friend, £9,385 for the Red Cross, sore feet, hoarse voices and a whole lot of fun and camaraderie among the Feltmakers.
Did I forget to add that we topped the leader board again?
